FOUNDER
Correa Albano Winery is a family business founded in 1991 by Sebastian Astaburuaga Correa, descendant of José Gregorio Correa Albano who was a pioneer winemaker in Chile in 1865. He was the first to export bulk wine to France, Bordeaux and Burgundy mostly.
Today our goal is to continue the legacy our predecessor left us: making quality wines with tradition.

Santa Rosa, Sagrada Familia
Our winery is located in Santa Rosa, Sagrada Familia. A small town located 200 kilometers south of Santiago. We own around 300 hectares of vineyard, all in Curicó Valley, Sagrada Familia, Itahue and Molina.
Our vineyards are located in the Curicó Valley, which have been described by experts and world-known winemakers as the “Heart of the Chilean wine industry”. Indeed, our vines lie just between the Andes Mountains and the Pacific Ocean, thus they enjoy the Mediterranean climate of the Chilean Central Valley. This combination of geographical and climatic elements gives the grapes excellent conditions to achieve their perfect ripeness.
SAN IGNACIO warehouse is where it all started, the first vinifications where here, today we use only for stock, with a capacity of 1,1 million liters all in epoxicated concrete tanks.
ITAHUE warehouse belonged to Osvaldo Astaburuaga Goycolea, here we produce smaller quantities so we try to use it for our special wines. We have a capacity of 1 million liters all in stainless steel.
SANTA ROSA warehouse is our main winery, here we produce around 80% of our total production, we have a capacity of 7 million liters in stainless steel tanks and 4,3 million liters in epoxicated concrete tanks.
Our winery has a production capacity of 20 million liters, which is equipped with machinery that allows us to extract the maximum potential from our grapes. We are able to market and export 10 million liters a year, which are shipped by sea in flexitanks containers that with 24 thousand liter of capacity and feature the latest technology. This preserves the organoleptic characteristics of the wine, without suffering damage during the trip.
